Survival & shelter in Nepal
DFID’s talented team of digital storytellers used Storehouse to provide an angle to the tragic Nepalese earthquake that the mainstream media doesn’t cover – an in-depth, first person account of the impact of the disaster on one family:
I was crying. I was so worried about our family members who were not in Bhotechour with us. I was also worried about my daughter-in-law who was not there, and my husband who was in the field. But then afterwards, everybody came back to the house.
Everyone was crying and shouting; it lasted throughout the whole night. We tied the remaining cattle up and tried finding shelter as it started raining.
