The Dementia Challenge: Dept of Health
The Prime Minister’s challenge on dementia sets out renewed ambition to go further and faster, building on progress made through the National Dementia Strategy, so that people with dementia, their carers and families get the services and support they need.
The key aims of the challenge are to:
– give a boost to dementia research
– address quality of dementia care
– increase public understanding of dementia
– make communities more dementia friendly
The Dementia Challenge online campaign uses a mix of platforms, and a hub site which brings in blog posts and comments in answer to the themes of the Challenge, as well as articles from other sites bookmarked using the social bookmarking service Delicious, taking the discussion out into other spaces and helping people find that discussion elsewhere.
